Hosting & server logs

The website is delivered as a static site without a database and without server-side programs.

When you visit, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, date and time, requested address, browser type) in server log files in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in stable and secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies, tracking & fonts

We use no cookies and no analytics, tracking or marketing services. That is why this website does not need a cookie banner.

The typefaces (Mona Sans, JetBrains Mono) are bundled when the website is built and served from our own server. Loading them creates no connection to third parties.

Local storage in your browser

For some convenience features the website stores data in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to any server and cannot be seen by us. Storing it is necessary to provide the features you ask for.

Manage your local data

One click removes every entry of this website from your browser. The page then reloads.

External media (two-click solution)

Videos and the location map only load once you explicitly allow it with a click. Until then, no connection to these providers is made. When the content loads, your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to the respective provider:

  • Vimeo – Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA. Embedded with the “Do Not Track” parameter (dnt=1). Data may be transferred to the USA.
  • OpenStreetMap – OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you choose “Always load”, we remember this in the key vt-consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the privacy settings.

Forms & e-mail

If you choose “Also send via e-mail program”, your own e-mail program opens with a pre-filled message. Nothing is sent until you click “Send” yourself – via your own e-mail provider.

In live operation we process your details to handle your enquiry and answer follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Retention periods

  • Local data in your browser: until you delete it – with the button above or via your browser settings.
  • Server log files: depending on the hosting provider [to be confirmed by the client].
  • Enquiries in live operation: until they have been fully dealt with, afterwards only within statutory retention periods.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the following rights at any time. An informal message to info@vecotrade.com is enough.

  • Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and notification of recipients (Art. 19 GDPR)
  • Data portability in a common format (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • No automated individual decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
