02Challenges
What this material demands of the technology.
Defined particle size
The burner requires a specific piece size. Shredding and screening are designed precisely for that target.
Purity
Metals, minerals and other contaminants impair combustion. Separation secures the quality.
Continuous feed
Fluctuations in the fuel flow affect the process directly. Storage and dosing buffer and regulate.
Dust & fire protection
Light, dry fractions require enclosed conveying routes and a well-designed fire protection concept.
Typical input material
- 01Processed commercial waste
- 02Sorting residues and light fraction
- 03Plastic and paper production waste
- 04Waste-wood fractions
Typical goals
- →SRF/RDF in a defined particle size
- →Removed metals and contaminants
- →A buffered supply in silo or bunker
- →Dosed feed to kiln or boiler
03Suitable technologies
Technology that suits this material.
01Shred.
Shredding technology
The heart of every processing line. Single- and multi-shaft shredders, chippers and mills – matched to your material and the particle size the next step needs.
02Convey.
Conveying technology
Belt, chain, screw and vibrating conveyors sized in length, width and capacity to the material flow – turning machines into a plant.
03Screen.
Screening technology
Separating fractions by size: removing fines, returning oversize, securing quality – integrated into the material flow.
04Separate.
Separation technology
Removing metals, stones and contaminants selectively – for pure, homogeneous fractions of high value.
05Store.
Storage technology
Bunkers, silos and top loaders buffer between processing and consumption – for high availability and smooth operation.
06Dose.
Dosing technology
Discharge by push floor, screw or vibration: a steady, controlled material stream for boiler, press or kiln.

05FAQ
Frequently asked questions
01Do you also plan the feed to the burner?
Yes. From reception and storage to dosed discharge ahead of the kiln or boiler – for example the feeder for an RDF rotary kiln at a paper mill.
02What determines the quality of the fuel?
Mainly particle size, purity and consistency. We define the values your off-taker requires together as the design target.
03Can an existing line be converted to RDF?
Existing plant sections can often be reused. We review what is there and plan the missing steps.
