Typical machine types

Bunkers with push floor
Large-volume flat stores filled by wheel loader or truck and discharged by push rods.
- 02
Silos with discharge system
Space-saving vertical storage with screw or rotating-screw discharge for shavings, pellets and chips.

Top loaders
Fill storage areas from above and spread material evenly – for example as fuel storage for CHP plants.

Buffer bins
Small intermediate buffers directly ahead of a machine to even out short fluctuations.

Frequently asked questions.
01How big does our storage need to be?
It follows from consumption, delivery rhythm and the desired autonomy – for example over a weekend without deliveries. We clarify these values together; we deliberately do not quote blanket sizes.
02What is a top loader?
A filling and distribution system that brings material into a storage area from above and spreads it evenly. In 2019 Vecotrade supplied three Toploader units as fuel storage for a biomass CHP plant in Rhineland-Palatinate.
03Push floor or silo?
Push floors excel with large volumes and poorly flowing materials, silos with limited floor space and free-flowing goods. Often the space available on site decides.
